BS 3900 Part F2

Determination of Resistance to Humidity Under Condensation Conditions

Can be used to test the resistance of coated specimens to condensation conditions in a temperature cycling climate.

Test specimens are placed in an enclosed chamber, in which a climate is created that comprises of a heated, saturated mixture of air and water vapour, at a temperature that cycles continuously between +42C and + 48C and a constant relative humidity of 100%RH. The time taken for each cycle from 42C to 48C and back to 42C shall be 60 minutes, with the heating and cooling times being approximately equal. The number of cycle repeats and therefore the test duration is variable.
